Mickey Turner is easily the most forgotten artist of the 80's pop rock era.

Often described as "sitting somewhere between not bad & not good" Mickey's music was a mainstay in car stereos, walk mans and grocery stores everywhere.

Mickey exploded on the pop scene in 1985 with "Hit Single" his biggest track off his debut album LOVE HURRICANE.

Typical for artists, his sophomore album HEAT ZONE wouldn't see the same success despite the more aggressive rock style and guest appearance by guitar bad boy Freddie Gash. The albums shining single was the opening theme song for the hit TV show "Fire Falcon", an action packed thriller that Mickey himself would star in briefly, about a rouge team of renegade helicopter pilots protecting the west coast of the U.S.A. from enemy Russian war birds.

From there, his 3rd release, THE LIVE ALBUM, (pronounced like "give"), also failed to land success due to Mickey’s stray from pop into alternative experimental sounds and his first attempt at writing 100% of the lyrics himself.

All albums are out of print unless Reckless Summer Records decides to re-release them or sell the masters. For now, enjoy the only album available, Greatest Best Hits, a collection of some of his more or less popular jams.
